Ensuring women and children in Merseyside live a safe, happy and fulfilling life away from domestic abuse
We believe that every woman and child should feel safe and valued. By funding local projects which offer real impactful outcomes, we know that women and children have the chance to move forward with their lives to feel empowered to not allow domestic abuse to ruin their chance at happiness.

Having never been financially independent the whole of my adult life, I am now earning my own money. I went back to college, gained more qualifications and applied for a job. I feel so proud of myself, I am a role model for my children.

I couldn’t have done this on my own, I am stronger because I asked for help
and the support I received helped me to find out what I am capable of doing. I can’t thank you enough.
Chloe, Survivor
I now feel more resilient, stronger, safe, and confident since
leaving my ex-husband and with support from the funding by The Ellie
Trust I now feel like I have a chance to restart my life.

The outreach service funded by The Ellie Trust has been a lifesaver to
me. I was not ready to join a group or attend sessions at the centre, so
meeting informally where I could seek advice without bringing unwanted
attention helped me so much.
Lisa, Survivor
Thanks to the funding by The Ellie Trust I have just secured my first
volunteering role within the centre, helping women who were just like
me. The Next Steps programme has given me the determination to
move on independently with my life.
